- ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳ: ಶ್ರೀ ಚೋಂಡೀರ .ಎ. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಜೂನ್ 1, 1958 ರಂದು ಕಾವೇರಿ ತಟದ ಕೊಡಗು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸುಂದರ ಮಡಿಕೇರಿ ನಗರದ ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವ ಮೇಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ್ಮತಾಳಿದರು.

- Date & Place of Birth: Mr. Chondira .A. Suresh was born on June 1, 1958, in Mekeri village near the scenic town of Madikeri in Kodagu district, along the banks of the River Kaveri.
- Parents: His father was the late Chondira .A. Appaiah and his mother was the late Kamalamma.
- Military Lineage: A spirit of patriotic service ran in Suresh's blood. His father, Appaiah, served in the British-Indian Army during the grueling World War II, fighting as a brave soldier in the tough battlefields of Burma (Myanmar), Malaya (Malaysia), and Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
- Early Education: Growing up in rural Kodagu, Suresh completed his primary education at the school in Mekeri village near Madikeri. He successfully completed his high school and Pre-University Education (PUC) at Madikeri Junior College.

- ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆ: 1977 ರ ಜೂನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಯುಸಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ದೇಶಸೇವೆಯ ತೀವ್ರ ಹಂಬಲದಿಂದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಗೆ (Indian Navy) ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.

- Joining the Navy: In June 1977, while studying in PUC, driven by a passionate desire to serve the nation, he was selected for the Indian Navy.
- Basic Naval Training: He completed basic naval discipline, drill, and seamanship training at the renowned naval base 'INS Mandovi' in Goa.
- Specialized Technical Education: Following basic training, he joined the crucial 'Air Wing' of the Indian Navy, selected to specialize in the maintenance, assembly, and technology of Air Weapons.
- Academic Topper Achievement: At the 'Naval Air Technical School' (NATS) located at INS Garuda in Kochi, he proved his exceptional talent by securing the top rank (highest marks in his batch) during rigorous technical training.

ಗೋವಾದ ದಾಬೋಲಿಂ ವಾಯುನೆಲೆ: ತರಬೇತಿಯ ನಂತರ ಗೋವಾದ ದಾಬೋಲಿಂ (Dabolim) ವಾಯುನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪಡೆಗಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ 'ಸೂರ್ಯಕಿರಣ್' (Surya Kiran) ಫೈಟರ್ ಜೆಟ್ ಟ್ರೈನಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರನ್ನ ವೆಪನ್ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತತ 2 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಯ ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಗರುಡ (PTA ಸ್ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರನ್):
- ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಯ 'ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಗರುಡ' ದ ಪಿಟಿಎ (Pilotless Target Airplane) ಸ್ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.
- ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು 'ಏರ್-ಟು-ಏರ್' (ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ) ಮತ್ತು 'ಶಿಪ್-ಟು-ಏರ್' (ಯುದ್ಧನೌಕೆಯಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ) ಫೈರಿಂಗ್ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ನಡೆಸುವ ಅನೇಕ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಫೈಟರ್ ಪೈಲಟ್ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನೌಕಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಹಾಗೂ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
✈️ 3. Early Postings & Experience as an Instructor
Dabolim Air Base, Goa: Post-training, he served for 2 consecutive years in the weapon section of the prestigious 'Surya Kiran' fighter jet training squadron at Dabolim Airbase in Goa.
INS Garuda (PTA Squadron), Kochi:
- Served in the Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA) Squadron at INS Garuda in Kochi.
- Here, he actively guided and trained fighter pilots and naval crew in technical procedures for air-to-air and ship-to-air firing drills.
🌍 4. ವಿದೇಶಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಹಾಗೂ 'ಸೀ ಹ್ಯಾರಿಯರ್' ಯುದ್ಧ ವಿಮಾನದ ಪರಿಣತಿ (Foreign Training)
1980 ರ ದಶಕದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಧಾರಿತ ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಟೇಕ್-ಆಫ್ & ವರ್ಟಿಕಲ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ (STOVL) ಕ್ಷಮತೆಯ 'ಸೀ ಹ್ಯಾರಿಯರ್' (Sea Harrier) ಯುದ್ಧ ವಿಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿತು.
ವಿದೇಶಿ ನಿಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆ (1980-1983): ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಚೋಂಡೀರ .ಎ. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಹಿರಿಯ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞರ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದೇಶಿ ತರಬೇತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.
ಯು.ಕೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ:
- ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ಕಿಂಗ್ಡಮ್ (UK) ನ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಏರೋಸ್ಪೇಸ್ (British Aerospace) ಹಾಗೂ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್ನ ರಾಯಲ್ ನೇವಿ (Royal Navy) ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀ ಹ್ಯಾರಿಯರ್ ವಿಮಾನದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಂರಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದರು.
- ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ದೇಶದ 'ಮ್ಯಾಟ್ರಾ' (Matra) ಕಂಪನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪರಿಣಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದರು.

🌍 4. Foreign Training & Expertise in 'Sea Harrier' Fighter Aircraft
In the early 1980s, the Indian Navy decided to induct the world's most advanced Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing (STOVL) aircraft, the 'Sea Harrier'.
Selection for Foreign Delegation (1980-1983): Recognizing his exceptional technical skills, Chondira .A. Suresh was selected among a senior team of technicians for specialized overseas training.
Training in the UK and France:
- Underwent rigorous training in technical configuration and armaments of the Sea Harrier at British Aerospace and the Royal Navy centers in the United Kingdom.
- Earned high-level expertise in military missile and weapon systems management at Matra in France.
He played a pivotal role in successfully bringing these cutting-edge fighter aircraft and their technical weapon systems to India and integrating them into the Indian Armed Forces.

ಶ್ರೀ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಗೋವಾದ 'ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಹಂಸ' ವಾಯುನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಮಾನವಾಹಕ ಯುದ್ಧನೌಕೆಗಳಾದ ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ವಿಕ್ರಾಂತ್ (INS Vikrant) ಮತ್ತು ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ವಿರಾಟ್ (INS Viraat) ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು ಸುಮಾರು 9 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಹಾಗೂ ರೋಮಾಂಚನಕಾರಿ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳು:
- ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಕ್ಯಾಕ್ಟಸ್ (Operation Cactus - 1988): ಮಾಲ್ಡೀವ್ಸ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ದಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತಂದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಜಾಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪಡೆಗಳು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧನೌಕೆಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗಿ.
- ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಪವನ್ (Operation Pawan - Sri Lanka): ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿಪಾಲನಾ ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿ (IPKF) ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೊಡುಗೆ.
- ಮ್ಯಾನ್ಮಾರ್ ಟಾಸ್ಕ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ (Myanmar Task): ಮ್ಯಾನ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಡಿ ಭಾಗದ ಸಮುದ್ರ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿ.
ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿದ ಅಪಾರ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ನಿಖರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಠಿಣ ಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಂದಿನ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ನೇರ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಇವರದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.

Mr. Suresh served at INS Hansa airbase in Goa and completed approximately 9 years of sea service on India's flagship aircraft carriers, INS Vikrant and INS Viraat.
Key Operations Participated In:

Present Life:
- Currently resides in his native village of Mekeri near Madikeri.
- Lives a peaceful life as a coffee planter along with his wife, Mrs. T. K. Savithri (a retired high school headmistress).
